Artist andart teacher.
Matisse lived by the philosophy, "Creativity takes courage". I hope to help my students find this courage every day.

Hi, I'm Sarah!
Growing up in a Midwest family that valued education, I was a dedicated student. However, it was through my high school IB art classes that I truly found my voice, learning to see the world through line, color, and form.
I initially pursued a marketing career, and then a nagging desire to make a deeper impact led me back to my creative roots. From painting through my personal struggles to advocating through poster design, art remained my language of choice. Now, after completing my Master's in Education at Colorado State University, I'm merging my passion for artistic expression with my love for working with young learners. Shaped by my experiences in Michigan public schools and life abroad in South Korea, I believe in creating inclusive classrooms where creativity, critical thinking, and empathy thrive. My goal is to help students use art to discover who they are and how they want to shape the world!
Never stop creating.
That's the lifestyle I strive to lead. I love working with a variety of 2D and 3D mediums.
